1. Acceptance
By using the TwistLog website, iPhone app, update list, future device prototypes, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use TwistLog.
These Terms are between you and PivotEdge LLC, the operator of TwistLog.
2. Current Stage of the Product
TwistLog's first iPhone app release is rolling out on the App Store. Website content, prototype hardware concepts, future features, pricing, and availability may change.
3. Important Safety Limits
TwistLog is a reminder and bottle-opening log companion. It is not a medical device, clinical service, pharmacy service, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice.
TwistLog may help you record or review that a bottle was opened. It does not:
- Verify that medication was swallowed or ingested.
- Verify the correct medication or dosage was taken.
- Prevent overdose, missed doses, side effects, or drug interactions.
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, dosing instructions, or medical advice.
- Guarantee reminders, alerts, notifications, sensor readings, or app availability.
Always follow instructions from your physician, pharmacist, medication label, and care team. If you believe you took the wrong medication, missed a critical dose, took too much, or are having a medical emergency, contact a healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.
4. Device and Event Accuracy
Future TwistLog hardware may use sensors such as magnet/proximity detection, NFC, Bluetooth, buttons, or motion sensors. Any sensor can fail, misread, lose power, disconnect, be installed incorrectly, or produce duplicate or missing events.
A "bottle opened" event should be treated as a helpful reference, not proof that medicine was taken.
5. Eligibility and Responsible Use
TwistLog is intended for adults. If you use TwistLog to help a family member or another person, you are responsible for using it appropriately and not relying on it as the only safeguard for medication management.
You agree not to use TwistLog in a way that could endanger yourself or others, including using it as the sole tool for high-risk or life-sustaining medication decisions.
6. Accounts and Security
If accounts are offered, you are responsible for your login credentials and account activity. Notify us at hello@twistlog.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use TwistLog unlawfully.
- Interfere with or attack our website, app, APIs, devices, or infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer or modify TwistLog hardware, firmware, app code, or services except where permitted by law.
- Use TwistLog to collect information about another person without appropriate consent or authority.
- Misrepresent TwistLog as FDA-approved, clinically validated, or a substitute for medical care.
8. Intellectual Property
TwistLog, the TwistLog name, product concepts, design elements, website content, software, firmware, and related materials are owned by PivotEdge LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, or misuse our materials or marks without permission.
You retain ownership of information you enter into TwistLog. You grant us permission to process that information as needed to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Beta Products
If TwistLog later offers hardware purchases, subscriptions, TestFlight builds, beta devices, or prototype update programs, additional terms may apply. Beta and prototype products may be incomplete, unreliable, and changed or discontinued.
Do not purchase or use a prototype if you require a clinically validated medication management system.
10. Third-Party Services
TwistLog may rely on third-party services such as Vercel, Resend, Supabase, Apple, Stripe, or notification providers. We are not responsible for outages, delays, changes, or failures caused by third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
TwistLog is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, PivotEdge LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and accuracy of reminders, alerts, device events, or history.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PivotEdge LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for damages arising from missed reminders, inaccurate events, delayed notifications, device failures, app outages, medication decisions, personal injury, or health outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to TwistLog will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for TwistLog products or services in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PivotEdge LLC from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of TwistLog, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or use of TwistLog in place of appropriate medical care or supervision.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California unless a later version of these Terms specifies a valid arbitration process.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The effective date above will show when this page was last updated. Your continued use of TwistLog after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
