1. Who We Are
TwistLog is operated by PivotEdge LLC, a California limited liability company. You can contact us at hello@twistlog.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to the TwistLog website, iPhone app, update list, future device prototypes, and related services.
2. Website and Update List Data
The public website may collect update signups.
When you join the update list, we collect:
- Your email address.
- The date and time of your signup.
- Basic technical information normally sent by your browser, such as IP address and user agent, which may appear in hosting or security logs.
We use this information to send product updates, prototype hardware notes, and future feature news. You can unsubscribe or ask us to remove you by emailing hello@twistlog.com.
3. App and Future Device Data
When you use the current TwistLog iPhone app, bottle names, reminder settings, and bottle-opening events are stored locally on your device. The current app does not require an account and does not sync this app data to a TwistLog cloud service.
Future account, sharing, sync, NFC, sensor, or device features may process additional information needed to operate those features, such as:
- Account information, such as email address and display name.
- Medication names or nicknames that you choose to enter.
- Reminder schedules and notification preferences.
- Bottle-opening events, such as timestamps generated by manual input or future NFC, sensor, device, or wearable features.
- Device information, such as device identifier, pairing status, battery state, firmware version, and last-seen time.
- Support messages you send us.
TwistLog should be understood as a bottle-opening log and reminder companion. A bottle-opening event does not prove that medication was taken, swallowed, or taken correctly.
4. What We Do Not Intend To Collect
- Social Security numbers or government ID numbers.
- Insurance information.
- Pharmacy records unless you explicitly choose a future import feature.
- Precise GPS location.
- Contacts or calendar data unless a future feature asks for permission and you grant it.
- Payment card numbers directly; payment processors such as Apple or Stripe would handle payment details.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate the update list and send requested updates.
- Provide app functionality and future device functionality.
- Show reminder history and bottle-opening history.
- Send notifications you request.
- Debug, secure, and improve the product.
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with applicable law.
We do not sell medication-related information. We do not share medication names or bottle-opening history with advertisers, pharmaceutical companies, insurers, or data brokers.
6. Service Providers
We may use trusted service providers to operate the product, including website hosting, email delivery, database hosting, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and payment processing. Examples may include Vercel, Resend, Supabase, Apple, and Stripe.
These providers process information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy commitments.
7. Caregiver Sharing
A future TwistLog feature may let you share medication-opening history with a caregiver or family member. That sharing should be optional and controlled by you. If enabled, the caregiver may see the information you choose to share until you revoke access.
8. Not HIPAA-Covered
PivotEdge LLC is not currently a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. TwistLog is not currently offered as a HIPAA-covered service. If we later enter healthcare, pharmacy, provider, or employer relationships that require HIPAA obligations, we will update our practices and documentation before offering those services.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for the stage of the product. For production services, this may include HTTPS, access controls, provider-level encryption, limited admin access, and secure handling of secrets.
No system is perfectly secure. You should not use TwistLog as your sole source of truth for critical medication decisions.
10. Retention and Deletion
We keep update-list information while the list is active or until you ask us to remove it. If future app accounts are launched, account deletion and data export/deletion controls should be provided in the app or by email request.
You may request deletion by emailing hello@twistlog.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.
11. California Privacy Notice
If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information under applicable California privacy laws. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.
To make a privacy request, email hello@twistlog.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."
12. Children
TwistLog is not intended for children under 13, and the product is intended for adults managing their own medication routines or caregivers acting responsibly for another person. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as TwistLog evolves across the app, website, prototypes, and future device features. The effective date above will show when this page was last updated. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way, such as by website notice, app notice, or email.
14. Contact
